Measuring Guide

Remember:

1) To ensure accurate measurements, use only a high-quality, steel tape measure with a wide blade (minimum 1/2").

2) Make note of any obstructions inside your window frame (locks, screens, crank handles, etc.) or next to your window.

How to measure a window?

Inside Installation

A) Measure the WIDTH (side-to-side) of the exact window frame opening in three places (top, middle, bottom). Mark the smallest of these three measurements (to the nearest 1/8"inch).

B) Measure the HEIGHT (top-to-bottom) of the exact window frame opening in three places (left, center, right). Mark the largest of these three measurements (to the nearest 1/8" inch).

C) Measure the available DEPTH of your window frame. Be careful not to include inside moldings/tracks! Measure only the space that is available to install your blinds.

Outside Installation

A) Measure the WIDTH (side-to-side) from edge to edge across the top of your window frame. Mark this measurement (to the nearest 1/8"inch).

B) Measure the exact HEIGHT (top-to-bottom) from the upper edge to the lower edge of your window frame. Mark this measurement (to the nearest 1/8" inch).

C) Measure the DEPTH of any protruding sill, ledge or molding that may interfere with the hanging of your blinds.
